Frequently Asked Questions
- Why did I get a Notice or Wheel Clamp (Boot)?
Unauthorized parking on Private Property has been an ongoing battle for property owners in the City of Greater Sudbury and other centres for years. As the most powerful deterrent for enforcing parking restrictions, wheel clamping will always be the no.1 choice for problem areas under persistence abuse. Clamping is undoubtedly the best tool to tackle this problem, ensuring compliance with the relevant rules and regulations far more than any other method available.
- Do I have to pay the Private Parking Notice?
Yes. Private Parking Notices must be paid within fourteen (14) business days. If you fail to pay your notice within the allotted time period, administration fees will apply. If your Notice remains unpaid for 30 days, your notice will be sent to a collection agency and your plate will be entered into our Scofflaw database. Once entered into our Scofflaw database, your vehicle is subject to getting clamped should your vehicle be found parked on any properties managed by DriveWatch Security Inc. A removal fee plus outstanding Notice fees will have to be paid prior to release of your vehicle.
- Why is Wheel Clamp (Boot) removal fee so much?
With the increase in industry cost, such as gasoline, insurances, wages and cost of doing business, we feel the removal fee is justified. In most cities that carry this service, removal fees average between $100 and $200 dollars.
- Can I dispute the Notice or Wheel Clamp (Boot)?
Yes. Persons wanting to dispute their notice must do so in writing within seven (7) working days of the date that appears on your notice. You can dispute your notice HERE or in writing to:
